Ongoing planning + investment management

The whole enchilada. The full nine yards. It’s like having your very own, personal CFP® and CPA on speed dial.

An ongoing, comprehensive service where we partner together over the long haul to help with virtually all aspects of your financial life.

  • To start off, you will receive a customized financial plan or retirement plan, depending on your stage of life.

Then, on a regular basis we meet throughout the year (virtually or in-person) to monitor your plan, make adjustments, and track your overall progress.

With this package we can also manage an investment account(s) on your behalf, should you wish to utilize our investment management services. Client accounts are managed through SEI Private Trust Company and Altruist, both of which are third-party financial institutions.

  • Our ongoing planning and investment services start at $1,250 per quarter ($5,000 per year).

We also charge a $600 start-up fee to cover the construction of your initial financial plan or retirement plan.

If we’re managing an investment portfolio on your behalf, once your invested assets rise above $500,000 you graduate to a tiered “assets under management” fee as follows:

    • First $500,000 = 1.00%

    • Next $500,000 = 0.85%

    • Next $1,000,000 = 0.65%

    • Everything above $2,000,000 = 0.35%

    • Those looking to partner with a trusted professional over the long-term

    • Busy, mid-career professionals

    • Those nearing retirement, or who have recently retired

    • Self-employed and/or small business owners

    • Those who have worked with a financial advisor before

Short-term service engagements

First time working with a financial planner? Not looking for long-term, ongoing service? This option is designed for you.

We call it the JumpStart Program, a short-term service package where we partner together over 60 days to create your game plan and get you started down the right path.

  • With the JumpStart program, we will do the following:

    • Create your financial plan or retirement plan, depending on your stage in life

    • Help you start implementing the recommendations

    • Be available for troubleshooting

The JumpStart program lasts for two months because we want to give you enough time to digest all the information and ask plenty of questions. But, perhaps most importantly, we also want to help you implement the recommendations and tackle the items on your to-do list.

After the program ends, you have the option to convert to the ongoing service package if you’d like to keep working together. If not, we simply part ways as friends and are happy to be a resource in the future!

  • $2,800 for individuals and $3,400 for couples.

Half of the fee is due upfront, and the remainder is due at the end of the 60-day program.

    • Those who have never worked with a financial advisor before, and want to “test the waters” before making a long-term commitment

    • DIYers who’d like a second opinion on their current strategy

    • Young professionals who need help with the building blocks of personal finance but don’t yet need or want ongoing guidance

Hourly consultations

Looking for advice on just one specific topic? Don’t need (or want) a comprehensive plan?

Feel free to pick our brain and simply pay by the hour.

  • A limited-scope service on whatever financial planning, tax or retirement topic you need help with.

  • $200 per hour.

  • Hourly services are ideal for folks not needing (or interested in) a full-scale analysis of their finances.

In other words, this service is for those who have a specific question on one or two topics, for example - buying a house, debt payment strategies, or a tax question.

Tax preparation

Let us do your taxes, so you can spend your time doing literally anything else. 😎

  • An experienced CPA who prepares and files your federal and state tax returns for you.

  • Tax preparation fees start at $400.

The fee will depend on the complexity of your personal situation, up to a maximum fee of $1,200.

  • Simple - it’s for folks who would rather pay a professional to do their taxes.
